Underwych is an interpretation of the effects rock salt mining and wild brine pumping had on the environment, the experiences felt by those living in Mid-Cheshire and the solutions they can up with to mitigate the effects on their landscape and buildings.
The story is told through a fantastic journey made by Emma, who finds herself trapped in a disturbing world described by stories told by her grandfather.
Underwych was supported by The Heritage Lottery Fund, DAN, Lion Salt Works Trust, Action Weaver Valley, Vale Royal Borough Council, Cheshire County Council and Barclays Bank Community Fund.
